What is Wormy Chestnut timber flooring?

Wormy Chestnut timber is named for its characteristics rather than its species.  It is a blend of species from the East Gippsland region in Victoria, Australia, predominantly Eucalyptus obliqua, Eucalyptus sieberi and Eucalyptus fastigata.

Deep red gum veins formed by fire, ambrosia beetle marks, pin holes and squiggly worm marks are all reflected in Australian Wormy Chestnut.

Wormy Chestnuts' ashy brown to rich chocolate tones add rustic charm and instant character to any space.  

It is suitable for all areas of the home, excluding wet areas.  It's hard wearing properties are perfect for high foot traffic and day-to-day use such as living areas and kitchen.
