HAND KNOTTED PURE WOOL SAVEH RUG
Saveh is a city south of Tehran and is one of the places that the Shasavan tribe reside. Rugs made in this area usually have a geometric medallion-and-corner design and all over motifs and are mostly woven with the symmetrical Turkish knot. They tend to have bright colours using blue, red, dark brown, black, green and white. The pile of these rugs is thick lustrous wool, hand spun from local sheep.
