Oakwood’s top layer is made from a solid European oak, while the core is made of multi ply eucalyptus layers. Where there is an abundance of one resource over the other, saving the oak for the surface of the board and changing the timber variety in the core means a better use of resources. The result is a more sustainable product.
FSC certified means they are made from well-managed forests overseen by the most recognised and respected international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Available upon request, this certification confirms our commitment to sustainable sourcing and supporting responsible forestry.
Engineered Hardwood is proven to be more resistant to variations of moisture and temperature than solid wood floors because of the stable base of high-quality plywood layers which also helps to avoid gaping and peaking.
