What is Bona R820 Adhesive?

Bona R820 is a one component silane-based adhesive for timber floors, including solid, overlay, parquet, blocks, and engineered floors.

Bona Silane adhesives are so easy and reliable that you will never have to worry about an installation again. They ensure excellent adhesion to the substrate and help prevent moisture transfer.

Bona R410 or R540 moisture barrier can be used with R820 where a moisture barrier system is required.

R820 withstands the thrust created during expansion of a timber floor, like conventional adhesives, whilst having a low resistance against shrinkage. This means that tension between the timber and the substrate, to which the timber floor is fixed, is reduced giving a more stable floor.

Bona have been working with timber floor adhesive systems for over 50 years and are a major worldwide supplier of reactive silane adhesives. These adhesives contain no solvent or water and react with moisture taken from the timber, substrate or the air to cure. Unlike solvent based polyurethane adhesives they contain no isocyanate compounds. Over 40 million m² of flooring has been laid using the Bona Silane adhesive system.
