What is Sand Oak timber flooring?

Sand Oak engineered hardwood is premium grade European Oak which comes from managed forests and is milled to meet our stringent grading requirements.  

Sand Oak engineered timber planks & parquetry are manufactured using a Hi-Spec Visual A/B/C grade with the 3mm solid oak wear layer bonded directly to an 11mm structural multi-layer plywood substrate. This trusted method of manufacturing provides a dimensionally stable and durable floor with an eye-catching aesthetic for a cleaner, sharper look. Finished thickness of 14mm.

It is suitable for all areas of the home, excluding wet areas.  It's hard wearing properties are perfect for high foot traffic and day-to-day use such as living areas and kitchen.  However, it can also freshen up bedrooms and modernise offices.

Sand Oak wide planks are presented with a Tongue & Groove (T&G) profile for direct stick or a floating method of installation. 

It is able to be installed over hydronic in-slab heating.

A hardwood with a Janka hardwood rating of 6-7kN, it’s a highly resilient and durable flooring option exuding raw, natural beauty.

The advanced UV lacquers create a natural look that will retain your floors for years to come. Wear layer can be refurbished and rejuvenated when required.

We recommend using the Bona cleaning products on your new timber flooring.  Bona floor cleaning products are made in Sweden and include ranges which are designed specifically for timber flooring.

Bona floor care products are non-toxic, PH Neutral, water-based and Greenguard certified.
